Strahan day 1: Summer finally arrived in Tasmania, on the way from Cradle Mt we stopped in Zeehan to explore impressive West Coast Pioneers Museum, where kids went crazy doing role play in old  court house and theatre, and learnt plenty about local mining history and minerals.  Boys definitely enjoyed the drive through alpine countryside ( minor camper malfunction not worth mentioning). Strahan caravan park was full of campers with children so kids made some new friends. On Tue we had an opportunity to set sail again on the fast catamaran for a heritage Gordon River cruise. We sailed around Macquarie Harbour ( it's apparently 5 times bigger than Sydney harbour), through Hells Gait, rather narrow passage, stopped on Sarah Island ( ruins of convict settlement in 1820  -1830 ies) amazing piece of history especially when explained by theatrical tour guide Chris:), followed by a walk through rain forest and little lesson on Tasmanian Huon Pine 🌲 . Once back a shore we went to a local play "the ship that never was" with audience involved : dramatic and hilarious story based on events from 1834 , great escape of 10 convicts on stolen ship "Frederick".
