Lake st Clair

Very eventfull stopover at Lake St Clair. Luckily weather was just perfect , we started with rather chilly swim in the crystal clear lake, then set for more hiking - kids are slightly over the walking business. We walked few short tracks, stoped at platypus bay-  nil sign of platypus what so ever, apparently you must be very quiet, which is close to impossible with our tribe of 8 children. Relaxing evening in the bush by the lake was disturbed by one little boy throwing  a rock through someone's rental car passenger window, lucky owners were quite understanding, with extensive clean of million  of pieces of glass from the car and taping up the window by us, they left for Hobart as well, just with limited view, as daddy awaits the bill from the rental company. With all the dust settled and kids asleep, grown up sat down for a little night chat, and of course got surprised by 4-5 brush tail possums, some more some less friendly, fortunately Lydia had snickers on as one tried to munch on her toe:) Our "Steve Irwin twin" Jon on the other hand attempts to pat all sort of wildlife like  possums, wombats and echidnas.
